What a year it’s been for Writtle Minors. Our u12’s won the cup, U11’s league and Cup double and all our teams won a batch of summer tournaments including our u10’s who won their first pieces of silverware.
We now have three league teams and a great development squad who will be going into the league next year. This growth in numbers also saw us host our first girl’s only presentation evening (which I’m sure will be the first of many). The Girl’s section is going from strength to strength and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our enthusiastic coaches for all their dedication and hard work.
Our great parents who are always willing to help, this is something we have taken for granted over the years and I was reminded on Sunday just how much all your help means. When the Chelmsford coach was left to do everything himself at the end of our game on Sunday. So to all you ball carries, bag carriers, Linesmen, refs, goal erecters, goal peggers, paper work helpers and supporters in general.
Thank you it really helps.
And finally the stars of the show: Well done to all our well behaved players (did I really say that ?). You have all shown a fantastic attitude to training and matches and the football you have played has kept us all entertained.
